Kate Donaldson, MPH, Senior Director of Programs

Kate Donaldson is the Senior Director of Programs for the Big Cities Health Coalition.  

Prior to joining BCHC, Kate served as the Deputy Director for the St. Louis County Department of Public Health. Over her career, she has served in numerous leadership roles for local governmental public health with a focus on organizational change, policy and program development, and partnerships centered on substance use, community safety, and upstream efforts to improve health outcomes. In these roles, Kate led efforts to adopt and implement local and state substance use policies, COVID-19 prevention and mitigation strategies, community participatory budgeting for community resilience in response to trauma, and data modernization efforts with local, state, and academic partners.  

Kate is from Missouri, lives in St. Louis, and received a master’s degree in public health from University of Kansas.
